1979 Corvette Muscle Machine

This corvette will be up for auction May 20, 2012 at the Mecum auction in Indianapolis, Indiana. Check it out.

For sale is a one-of-a-kind 1979 Corvette Pro Street. This car was built to have the look of the popular collectible cars the MUSCLE MACHINE with everything exaggerated. This car is so popular it is being displayed at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky until April 2011. Since these cars can take some time to sell, I thought I would start trying now. There is over $100,000.00 invested in this car. This car was professionally built by Hot Rod Factory. We are very well known for top notch cars. This car has been completed about 3 years now; 2 years of that time it has been on display. The owner of the car contracted me to help sell it. I am the owner of HRF. We stripped this car to gel coat, replaced the front end, added a 80 nose and tail, and built our own quarter panels. Body is painted with PPG base clear and is laser straight. We tubbed the car and did all the tub work in fiberglass no rattles. It has a Dana 60 rear end with a posi and 4.10 gears that was chromed. It is a chromed 4-link with QA1 coil overs. Transmission is a turbo 400 with a manual valve body and a 3500 stall. The engine was a LS7 454 Big Block crate engine that I still had. We changed cam. It is still solid lift and compression to run the 871 blower. It has Demon Blower carbs and a Shogun air cleaner. The valve covers are a marine style made by Larson engineering in the 70s. They are twice as wide as Big block chevy covers and have a lower pan that bolts to where the stock valve covers did. The motor made 767 HP and runs on pump gas, but if you were really going to beat this thing I would run race gas. Front suspension is chromed A-arm type with factory disc brakes. Rims are 18x6 up front and 20x15 on the rear with Mickey Thompson 28x7-18 and 31x18-20. This car looks like a Muscle Machine all the way. The exhaust is Spintech oval and exits out the rocker through custom made rocker side panels. This car has over 3 inches ground clearance everywhere. The nose is the lowest point. Interior is all custom-made console, made of steel and holds a Cheetah shifter covered in leather. Seats are leather and the custom stereo encloser is covered in leather as well as the dash waterfall. All wiring is new to the car and has been set up with Weather Packs for easy removal. This car has an aluminum radiator and electric fans and runs nice and cool all the time. All fitting, even the large radiator ones, are Aeroquip. Stereo consists of an Alpine head unit with Fosgate amps and MTX subs MB quartz components. All the glass is new and smoked thru and thru, not a cheap film. This car is perfect in every way. If you are one of those guys who likes to be noticed this is the car for you. I am open to all trades. Call me at 763-286-0611.
