Wally & Jenny Wagstrom '70 Challenger

This is a 1970 Challenger that we just completed. It was a rotisserie-type restoration and was restored down to every detail. This car was quite rusty and we had to fabricate a lot of the parts that are on the car in our Minnesota hot rod shop. This car is as nice underneath as it is on top. We are now building Wally a 1970 Chevelle SS.

HRF first met Wally and Jenny at our open house in 2005. They told us about their beloved 1970 Challenger that Jenny bought new in 1970 and drove as a daily driver for about 10 years. She racked up about 40,000 miles in 10 years. The downer to this car was it was driven in the Minnesota winters and boy did it take its toll on the body. As most of you know there are not a lot of parts available for Challengers so HRF had to fabricate almost everything for this car. It was time consuming and very tedious but also very rewarding as well. This car is a total body-off. The interior was merely cleaned and reinstalled with the exception of the carpet and headliner. The body was painted its original plum crazy purple and it looks great. Jenny has taken delivery of her car and HRF is now restoring Wally’s 1970 Chevelle SS.
